Black Box Caffe was born in the heart of Istanbul with a simple promise: serve coffee that inspires ideas in spaces that spark conversation. From our very first espresso pull, we set out to blend Turkey’s centuries-old coffee heritage with contemporary design and forward-thinking service.

Our Story

Our founders—seasoned travelers and lifelong coffee lovers—noticed a gap between traditional Turkish cafés and modern third-wave coffeehouses. They imagined a place where the warmth of a neighborhood kahve meets the precision of specialty roasting. In 2021, that vision took shape in a compact brick-lined space in Kadıköy. Word spread fast, and today Black Box Caffe is a growing family of cafés across Istanbul, each one echoing the spirit of the original.
